Max graduated from Hofstra University and joined Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP in 1992. Max was promoted to Partner in 2001.
Max is committed to having an in depth understanding of auditing and accounting principles as well as IRS and DOL guidelines. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and enjoys working closely with clients and staff to enrich their understanding of these complex rules. His support and guidance is often sought out by both clients and staff.
Max has significant experience with labor organizations, employee benefit plans and non-profit organizations including overseeing audits, reviews, compilations, expense allocation studies, and preparation of governmental filings. He spends most of his time coordinating engagements from planning through completion. He also performs technical reviews of engagements, attends board meetings, and assists clients with complex issues.
Max is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Max often teaches at our in-firm seminars covering current issues surrounding labor unions and employee benefit funds. An innovative educator, Max is adept at making education fun.
