Alex is the director of our Information Technology
Consulting Group. As director, he is
instrumental in providing guidance to our clients and staff with the deployment
of computer technology.
Alex has over 23 years experience implementing Microsoft/IBM
based computer systems. In 1983, he began working for a large insurance
company. During his tenure, he worked
with group health claims insurance benefit plans, premium accounting, and
advanced relational database programming as a Business Systems Analyst.
In 1989, he began work for a mid size public accounting firm
recommending, installing, and training financial accounting systems for clients
in many fields including construction, real estate, wholesale distribution, and
manufacturing.
In 1997, Alex started his own computer consulting firm. The consulting business specialized in
software selection, installation, training of Microsoft based local area
networks, and financial accounting systems including Best Software MAS90. It grew quickly through referrals from
satisfied clients.
Alex joined
Schultheis & Panettieri in January 2002. He
had been assisting the firm with technology solutions since the inception of
his consulting business 5 years earlier. The relationship established with the
partners and staff of S&P during this time made the decision to become a
member of the team an easy one.
Alex is a graduate with a BA in Accounting from The School of Professional
Accountancy of Long Island University. He is a certified business partner for
Sage Software MAS90/200 and a member of both the AICPA and the NYSSCPA.
Jennifer Evans, CPA

A 1996 graduate of Adelphi University, Jennifer joined S&P as an audit staff professional and was promoted to manager in
2005.
Jennifer performs expense allocation studies and has assisted in the development of software geared to employee benefit
plans. In addition to her field supervisory functions, Jennifer also supervises and trains new staff.
Jennifer is a member of the AICPA and the NYSSCPA.
Gary Waldren, CPA
Audit Manager

Gary graduated from Salisbury University where he majored in Accounting and Finance. He received his B.S. in 1998 and joined Schultheis & Panettieri
as an audit staff professional. In 2003, Gary moved out of state to work for a Fortune 500 Company. He returned to S&P in 2005 and was promoted to audit
manager in 2008.
Gary spends much of his time managing field audits, training and supervising new employees, and assisting clients with accounting issues.
Gary is a member of the AICPA and the NYSSCPA.
Michael O'Connor, CPA
Audit Manager

Michael graduated from St. John's University in 1986, receiving a B.S. degree in Accounting. He joined Schultheis & Panettieri in 1998 and was promoted
to audit manager in 2008. Michael spends most of his time supervising and training new employees while managing audits of multi-employer employee benefit plans.
Prior to joining Schultheis & Panettieri, Michael worked twelve years for two major brokerage firms in the corporate tax department where his duties
included Federal tax compliance and the reporting of income taxes in accordance with FAS 109.
Michael is a member of the AICPA and the NYSSCPA.
