Many Scholarship Funds are welfare benefit funds that provide scholarship money to selected recipients. The recipients normally have to submit applications and meet certain qualifications to become eligible candidates.
Scholarship Fund contributions often come from fund-raising activities such as golf outings or dinner dances, but can also include contributions from private groups or individuals.
