Carol graduated from Hofstra University in 1985 and joined Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP in 1986. Carol was promoted to Partner in 1994 and Co-Managing Partner in 2005.

Progressive Administration

Carol enjoys a multifaceted position at Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP. As Co-Managing Partner she has a key role in the administration of the firm, while maintaining her position as partner-in-charge on various audit clients. Carol is actively involved in updating the technology used by the firm to ensure audits, reviews and compilations are performed cost effectively.

Carol has extensive experience working with labor organizations, multiemployer benefit plans and non-profit organizations including overseeing audits, reviews, compilations, expense allocation studies, and preparation of governmental filings. Carol also assists clients by providing alternative recordkeeping options to address each client’s unique situation.

Industry Participation

Carol is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Carol is a former chairperson of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants Suffolk Chapter Employee Benefits Committee. She has lectured on employee benefits issues for the Suffolk Chapter and co-authored an article for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

In 2019, Carol was appointed to the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans Professionals Committee.
